SOCIETY OF ARTS.

EXHIBITION - CLOSES. The second annual spring exhibition conducted by the Auckland Society of Arte closed last evening. Seventeen works hung at the exhibition were disposed of, and the Auckland Art Gallery purchased "Win," a small portrait in oils by Mr. A. B. Barns-Graham of his sister. The attendances throughout were reported to have bsen very satisfactory, and yesterday was a record day for the two spring exhibitions so far held. A large attendance of students from schools and colleges was a notable feature this year.
