Springhall, of Wellington, leaves for Sydney by the Wanganella this afternoon. j Mr. Guy Natuseli, formerly of Wellington, Hawke's Bay and Poverty Bay, has been appointed associate editor of the "Launceston Examiner." Mr. J. B. Gow returned by the Limited this morning from Wellington after attending the sittings of the Tariff Commission in the South Island. Commander E. Lyon Berthon and Paymaster-Commander M. V. Duke, of the Devonport naval base, returned from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Messrs. C. Carr, J. N. Massey, W. W. Masse}', W. P. Endean, A. M. Samuel, F. Lye, A. S. Richards, and W. J. Jordan, M.P.'s, were passengers by this morning's Limited from Wellington. Mr. E. V. Cunnold, the well-known Auckland swimmer, has been appointed by the Morrinsville Borough Council to the position of custodian of the borough swimming baths. There were 25 applications for the position. Captain Cosmo Graham, RJST., has been appointed honorary naval aide-de-camp to hie Excellency. the Governor-General in succession to Captain M. J. C. de Meric, whose period of appointment in that capacity has expired. Mr. A. E. Kilhvorth, who for many years was connected with the Pacific Cable Board, Auckland, retired recently. Pie has been appointed Australasian representative of the Commercial Cable". Company, London and New York. Mr. I\. Diggle and Mr. D. Badham, two pilots of the Auckland Aero Club, passed - the tests for their A licenses yesterday. Squadron-Leader L. M. Isitt, officer commanding the Hobsonville air base, conducted the tests at the Mangere aerodrome. Mr. F. W. K. Raymond, who has been manager of the Te Puke branch of the Union Bank of Australia for the past two years, has received notice 0f... his transfer to the position of manager of the Dannevirke branch. Mr. D. G. McCallum, of Te Awamutu, will succeed Mr. Raymond as manager at Te Puke.
