VOICE OF THE FANS.

When Miriam Jordan changed her screen name to Mirni recently, thousands of her "fans" protested. Relatives wrote letters. Mothers cried. Strangers stopped her on the street and begged her to undo it. And so Mimi Jordan, petite- blonde player, who used to be Miriam,;is going to forget the Mimi and become Miriam again. It happened a couple of months ago. Friends told Miss Jordan she was too aloof, too dignified, too cold. "Get hot!" they urged. So Miriam "got hot." She had herself shorn of her long golden tresses, forgot her dignity, dropped the Miriam and became Mimi. But the new Jordan and the new name failed to meet the approval of friends, relatives and "fans."
