PRICE OF AUSTRALIAN GOLD.
The price fixed by the Commonwealth Bank for sold, including jewellery, lodged nt tin- .Melbourne Mint for the week ended September "20, was at the rate of approximately £7 fi/10 a standard ounce (22 carats), equal to a premium of 92. tO per cent. Payment is made according to the assay value oE the gold. The price was 4d. lower on the week. The price an ounce fine was £S 3/5, a fall of 5d on the week.
