DICKENS FELLOWSHIP.

Members of the Auckland Dickens I Fellowship continued tho study of "A Tale of Two Cities" on Thursday, the president, Mrs. Kenneth Gordon, being in the chair. Arrangements for the evening were in charge of Mr. D. A. Neal. The chapters read dealt with the progress of the French Revolution and the acquittal and re-arrest of Charles Darnay, son of the Marquess of Evremonde. The following readings were given:—Mr. F. S. Townley Little, "Lucy Manette and the Wood Sawyer"; Mrs. W. E. Arev, "The Release of Charles Darnay"; Mr. C. Kidson, "The Scene at the Acquittal"; Miss E. M. Statham. "The Return of Darnay to his Home": Mrs. R. J. Lusher, "Miss Proas-and her Brother"; Mr. D. A. Neal, "A Hand at Cards."
