AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALEB. SYDXKV, October 11. At the Sydney wool bulcb to-day, 10,435 bales were offered, and 0053 were . Id. Also, . r iOS bales were sold privately. There was strong con era 1 competition and good clearances. Yesterday's improved U-vels wero maintained, although there was still some irregularity in regard to very biirry and faulty wools. Greapy Merino sold to 22d. which price was paid for 11 bales from Gurley. Competition was spirited at the Melbourne sales, and all wools sold in sellers' favour, compared with the rates last week. For many lines values increased r > to 10 per cent. About 93 per eent of the 02011 bales submitted were sold. The season's record price of 22% d a lb was realised for Victorian Merino. The highest price at the GeeloiiE sales this season, 24d, was realised to-day for four bales of Merino from Skipton.
