RUGBY FOOTBALL.
THE AUCKLAND UNION. THREE TEAMS CHAMPIONS. SENIOR REORGANISATION. At last night's meeting of the Auckland Rugby Football Union, the chairman, Mr. Hairy Frost, referred to the death of Mr. H. E. Holland, members standing as a mark of respect to his memory. It was decided that Marist Old Boys, University and Ponsonby be bracketed as senior champions and that caps be given to members of each team. In Compliance with the wish of the clubs interested, it was decided to abandon the J Jubilee Cup competition this year. When the proposed reorganisation of the senior grade competition wan considered it was stated that the matter should be taken in hand and some scheme for the rearrangement formulated, as clubs would be looking for an indication as to the coins:! to be pursued next season. As a preliminary move a special sub-committee of three was appointed, consisting of Messrs E. Wright, J. H. M. Muir and \ St C Belcher, to no into the question and report back to the committee. Several schemes had been brought before the attention of the committee and these will be investigated with a view to placing some definite proposal before a meeting of delegates of clubs at an early date. Bridsrens and Company. Limited, (jrlbhleHlrat Park 3.10 p.m., Mr. C. W. Henderson Wholesale v. Retail DrUKSlsit Show--rounds No. 2. I! p.m.. Mr. C Murdoch; Methotlist Bible Class seven-a-sule tourney, Showgrounds No. a. 1.43 p.m., arranged. FOUR PLAYERS SUSPENDED. Four members of the Hui Mai Club nt Thames who were selected to play for Thames against Morrinsville on September ■Ml hut had played, inslead. in an intertribal match, for the Tainui Cup. at Kotorim were before tho Thames Union for PYiiianation on Tuesday. After bavins heard the four players. M. Warene, W. Savage V Ahrahanis and C. Ahrabanis. were suspended during the pleasure of the union.
