The club membership was increased by the reafflliation of the NRaruawahia and Whakatane Clubs, and together with all the clubs that were affiliated the previous season, a total of twelve (or the current season paid membership, which is the largest in the Dominion. Despite the general conditions and contrary to expectations, increased membership was recorded by most clubs. The tas are, fully dealt with and congratulations extended the various committees for the excellent management of the rcgattitH. No unpleasant incidents, such as fouls or protests, occurred (luring the season, and this satisfactory state of affairs can largely be attributed to the buoying of the courses and, further, that a diagram of each course was inserted in nil programmes. The inlerprovincial eight-oar crew when selected was not subjected (■> any changes and indulged in six weeks' training. The crew put up a meritorious performance, gaining second place, defeated by n bare length by the redoubtable OtagO crew that gained its fifth successive win. . The desire of clubs that: inter-club racing be. confined to the minimum number oC .Saturdays -was given effect to. The nine trophies were decided upon two days, and as the arrangement was a pood one, the. committee recommend that it be adhered to if possible in the coming season. An attempt was made to introduce secondary school rowing, but on account of prevailing conditions could not be brought to fruition. It is hoped the Incoming committee will give tbe matter their earnest consideration. Three questions are submitted from the New Zealand Council for consideration regarding a visit this season of a New South Wales eight crew and a sculler. At. its first meeting tbe executive decided that efforts be mndcwto raise funds for the provincial championship regatta. In order that the guarantee of £5 from each of the city clubs only would hot be necessary. A mystery moonlight cruise, organised for the purpose, netted £:>■", and the clubs were not called upon for tli" £ :"> guarantee, as in former years. In addition appears sundrv creditors. 1031-32 season, the sum of £315 2/5. Included for the first time is an inventory of the association's property, and £33 odd lias been written down for depreciation. Another interesting item for the first time is the list and respective values of the association's trophies.
