WORK AT EPSOM.
A QUIET MORNING. KEWPIE'S TRIUMPH DOES WELL. Although the tracks at Epsom this morning was in excellent order there was nothing in the work clone to enthuse over. However, most of the horses having early engagements are well forward, and thoee racing at the Waikato meeting on Saturday .should be in a position to give of their be.-it. Auto Machine was sent two miles. He paced .-smoothly, and finished up his task strongly. Red Eagle, after putting in one break, trotted a half in 1.11. He has plenty of speed, and only has to become solid to win races. Kcwpie'e Triumph started off at the two-mile peg. After going a half Moko Girl, Kewpie's King and Glandore joined in, hut Kewpie's Triuin.ph beat them all and paced his two miles in 4.3't. Moko Girl gave a line display of trotting, and finished particularly well. Kewpie's King shaped satisfactorily, but Glandore was always in the rear, making heavy work of his job. Stormy Mack showed .speed by pacing the last half-mile of hie task in 1.5 -J-.'). Gllid Ilair.st i* not to fulfil his engagements at the Waikato meeting.
