From Prison.

SYMPATHETIC HELPERS,

DARWIN, October 8.

A young New Zealander, Joseph Vivian McGrath, who escaped from the Fanny Bay gaol over a Meek ago, continues to elude the police in a mangrove swamp three miles away. More than 50 black trackers and other natives are searching for him, but unemployed and sympathisers with McGrath are said to bo helping him with surreptitious supplies of food.
