ON 'CHANGE.

BUSINESS IS QUIET.

FEW SALES GOING THROUGH,

There has been little life on 'Change so far this week. Quotations have not ■aiiered greatly, but buyers seem to be holding off. Bidding at this morning's call was steady. In the banking section Australasias were again 011 o-ler at XJ3 7/6, bringing in a buyer at £13. New Zealands improved, with a sale at £2 6/3, after which buyers offered £2 6/1. Queensland Insurances were again available at £2 19/, and a buyer put in a bid of £2 14/. In miscellaneous issues Dominion Pictures were in request, with buyers at 12/ for the ordinaries and 16/6 for the preferences. The mining section attracted a fair amount of attention, with bidding covering a range of twenty-live different securities. Wailiis were a shade easier, with holders prepared to accept £1 6/11 and buyers stopping at £1 6/3. Mount Lyells were in iirm demand at £1 4/. All Government stocks were asked for, but there were virtually no sellers. An interesting feature was the change in quotations for Wilsons Cements following the adjustment in the capital of the company. Sellers ask.ed £1. 5/ for the shares-: on the new basis of 10/ eacli as their par value, but there 'were no buyers. Steady at Moon. Values were generally steady at noon, and on both sides brokers were still holding oft". An offer of £1-3/6 for Wilsons Cement .shares on their new level brought in sellers at £1 4/9. Hospital and Transport Board 5% per cent debentures were available, the former at £101 and the latter at par. Franklin Power Board 5% per cent debentures were also quoted by sellers. SAXES COMPLETED.
