MANGERE CLUB. The Mangero Bowling Club, whose official opening takes place in a fortnight's time, was opened fur play on Saturday, when I here was a good attendance o£ members. During the afternoon lea adjournment Mr. \V. W. Maguey, M.l'., president of . the club, presented Mr. David Kay, who has resigned the position of club treasurer, with a walking stick as a token of the esteem of his fellow howlers. Tho Te Arolia Bowling Club officially opened its season on Saturday, Mr. A. L. Willis, vice-president, in the absence of the president, Mr. A. 11. Margison, briefly addressing a large assemblage, and Mrs. Margison sending down* the kitty. On behalf of the club, the patron, Mr. J. A. Clothier, presented Mrs. C. A. Stuck, wife of last year's president, with a handsome silver-mounted cake dish, as a mark of appreciation for her services in the 1032-33 season. As a mark of respect to tho late Mr. A. D. Wallace, vice-president, howls were not played during the afternoon.
