AN INCREASE IN STAKES. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday. Tlie committee of the Waipa Racing ,'lub met on Friday evening. Mr. J. X. \ oung was re-elected chairnan. Reference was made to the allocation of in extra permit to another provincial club, n face of the Auckland district committee's recommendation in favour of Waipa, uid the secretary was instructed to reply to correspondence on the subject, the opinion being expressed that Waipa Club j has again been unfairly treated. j Arrangements for tne annual race meeting in December were discussed, and Messrs'A. 11. Storey, M. 11. Tinis and H. Weal were reappointed a committee to prepare and draft a programme. The prizemoney to be offered will total SOOsovs, being an increase of 73suva 011 last year's ■total. i
