TRANSFER OF £10,000.

CHRISTCHURCH, this day

In the monthly report of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, the chairman, Mr. W. G. Gallagher, said the board's financial year ended on Saturday last, and the result of the year's working was so good that it was possible to transfer £10,000 to the- special renewal fund for depreciation, as compared with £5000 for 103132. "The finances are so much better that I hope they represent the beginning of bettor times," added Mr. Gallagher. "The receipts for the year just closed totalled £81,900, compared with £70,509 for the preceding year."
