LICENSES MUST STAND,

(By Telegraph.—•Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Friday.

The Government's attitude toward the restriction or cancellation of the right of B class radio stations to broadcast sponsored programmes was sought by Mr. F. .Tones (Labour, Dunedin South) in the House of Representatives to-day. The Postmaster-General, the Hon. A. Hamilton, replied that the licenses of these radio stations were for a period of 12 months only, from April 1, and no alterations could bo made in the conditions of licenses already issued.
