McGrath Fails to Get in Quarter-Finals.

In the fourth round of the United States lawn tennis national championship Vivian McGrath (Australia) failed to stay in the final set against Clifford Sutter, after leading 3—l when it was postponed on Thursday owing to failing light. The match ended:—C. S. Sutter beat V. McGrath, 3—6, 6—4, 6—3, 3—6, B—6.

Tho quarter-finals resulted:— F. J. Perry (Britain) beat A. K. Quist (Australia), 6—4, 6—4, 6—o.

L. R. Stoeffen (U.S.A.) beat Bryant Grant (U.S.A.), B—6, 6—4, 3—6, 7—5.

F. X. Shields (U.S.A.) beat G. S. Mangin (U.S.A.), 6—4, 6—4, 4—6, 6—3,

J. B. Crawford (Australia), ljeat C. S. Sutter (U.S.A.), 6—3, 6—3, 6—l.

On Saturday Perry meets Stoeffen and Crawford plays Shields in the semifinals.
