MODEL VILLAGE.
RATANA TO BUILD PA. MEMORIAL TO TURI. t (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) HAWERA, this day. Successful negotiations have removed legal obstacles which threatened to prevent Ratana from establishing a model village at Patea, as a memo vial to the great Maori navigator Turi. Tho land where the proposed pa is to 'he situated was let to the Patea Butchery Company, and it was thought the company would assert its rights, but, in consideration of payment by the natives, the leaee was surrendered. The erection of the pa will be commenced immediately.
