NIGHT IN BUSH.
SEARCHER HIMSELF LOST. CONSTABLE FOUND TO-DAY. (By, .Telegraph.—Press Association.) . . . TAUMARUNUI, this day. Constable C.Chesnut> of Raetihi, who was lost in the bush yesterday during the search for . the body of Richard Grylla, -was/located this;-morning in the bush by.a search party, none the worse for alight spent in the open. Following the discovery, of the body of Grylls shortly after mid-day, yesterday," the "remaining members of thej party were informed that the search had ended. It was not until : just before dusk , that the discovery was made that Constable Cheetnut had not returned. On receipt of thie news at Taumarunui at 5 p.m., Inspector Ward, of Wanganui, Sergeant D. Sivyer and Constable Bruce, of the Taumarunui force, left by car for Owhango to organise a search. Owing to the difficult nature of the country and the- onset of darkness it was not possible to make a. thorough search, but arrangements were made for an intensive search of the locality to be started at daybreak to-day. Several local residents volunteered to assist the police.
