HENDREN ANOTHER CENTURY. . .(.Beceived- 11.30 ajm.) LONDON, September 6. In a cricket match at the Scarborough festival, "Patsy" Hendren filled a vacancy in D. R. Jardine"? M.C.C. Australian eleven, which scored 349 against H. D. G. Leveson-Gower's team. Hendren top-scored with 154, Wyatt 70 not out. Gower's side played out time for 31 without loss of a wicket. Hendren (Middlesex) was included in the Marylebone team owing to the inability of eight members of the Australian tourists to play. He batted magnificently, passing 3000 runs for the season (the only other player to do bo this season having been W. R. Hammond, Gloucestershire). Playing at Skegness, Eastern Counties made 217 against the West Indians, who lost one wicket for 50.
