KEEN GAME WITH 'VARSITIES. (Beceived 12 noon.) CAPETOWN, September 6. In the penultimate game of their South African tour, the Australian Rugby team drew with the Combined Universities (Stellenbosch and Capetown), 3—3* There was no score at half-time. In 1928 the All Blacks also played Combined Universities at Newlands, under amended rules, and won 14—9. This game, which created a very favourable impression in Springbokland, was refereed by Jim Burrows, one of the New Zealand hookers, now sole-eelector for Canterbury, for which province he is still a representative cricketer (fast bowler).
