"THE HAYSEEDS" FILMED.
Contract* have been signed in Sydney for the filming of the well-known "Hayseeds" slovy ab Ruslicutters , Bay, Sydney. A fine cast of well-known people have Loon selected for the principal roles. "Dad" Hayseed will be played by Cecil Kellaway, one of the best character actors in Australia today, who will be remembered for his part as the detective in the musical comedy "Bhio Roses." Katie Towers will play "Mum" Hayeced, and Joe of that ilk" will be played by Tal. Ordell. Mollie Kayner, Avho did so well in "On Our Selection," has been cast as Pansy Regan. Other well-known names are Kenneth Brampton, one-time producer for the Auckland Little Theatre Society, Ncal Douglas and Arthur Clark. Baymond Longford has been engaged as producer. The story of '"The Hayseeds" is not entirely of the bush, as more than half the action and comedy is written round city locations, and songs and music will have a prominent, place in the production. Sydney's leading ballet, under Richard White, will introduce some spectacular song and dance numbers, and it is worthy of note that Alfred Lawrence, composer of "I Wouldn't Leave My Little Wooden Hut For You,"- is writing special songs for this production.
