fine: winter subject. These axe appreciated in winter; they, afford brightness during dull periods. To obtain nice specimens for next winter propagation should be done now. Old plants should have their growths pruned back to about two inches and in a short while new growth will issue, which, when three inches long, can be removed as cuttings. Place in pots of sandy soil
and root in a propagator, then transfer singly to email pots. Seeds may also be*6owii thinly ,in pans of sandy soil and placed in a propagator. Remove them when nicely rooted to a warm, light shelf near glass. When good pfants have resulted shift them into boxes, then into pots. Hooted cuttings may be planted out in the open during summer and lifted and potted in autumn, and used for the decoration of the greenhouse during winter.
