ANN HARDING'S ESCAPE.

Ann Harding, Alexander Kirkland and Ann's secretary, Marie Lombard, had a narrow eecapc from death when a sailing boat, in which they were travelling, capeized three miles off Havana. To keep herself afloat, Ann removed her bright pink dress. Luckily, air was caught underneath it, causing it to float balloonfashion on the surface. It was the bright pink spot on the ocean that caught the attention of a passing boat, and the three were rescued. The fourth member of tlie party, the boatman, sank out of sight after a few yards. Aim is making a settlement on the boatman's widow and her seven fatherless children.
