TAKAPUNA WELFARE LEAGUE.
At the quarterly meeting of the Takapuna Citizens' Welfare League last evening, it was reported that areas of ground at the Milford School and at Potter s Park had been prepared for the planting ot vegetables. A 1 ton of potatoes would be planted next weeK, also peas and beans. The secretary, the Rev. J. Hiddlestone reported that since May the league had Hstributed 4375 articles of clqthing ami W8 bags o£ wood, and the boot department had repaired 125 pairs of footwear.
