PAYING DOG TAX.
INSTALMENT SYSTEM TAILS. The financial position of dog owners was indicated this morning when , the doc registrar at Onehunga sued two men for failing to pay the full amount of their dog license fee. The registrar, Mr. J. Cairns, said that the defendants had paid 2/G each, and still owed 7/6 each. They were registered on time payments, but had failed to keep them up after paying 2/6. Both men had been given two months' grace. There were 130 others who had defaulted in their instalments. • 'I Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.: What! Are they all here to-day? The Registrar: No,-.your Worship. One man was . ordered to pay the amount due with costs. The other's case was adjourned for a month, as the man is on relief work. Mr. Hunt told him he must either pay-the balance ■or destroy the dog. - .;.. ' -...';. .
