THEFT CHARGE.
COUNTY COUNCIL TOOLS. FORMER ENGINEER IN COURT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Edward Butt, formerly engineer-clerk to the Selwyn County Council, was today charged with the theft of tools and other property of the council valued at £55. The hearing of the charge is expected to last two days. Accused pleaded not guilty. (Proceeding.)
