ON 'CHANGE.

BUSINESS IS FAIR.

BLACKWATERS AT £1 14/9,

Bidding at the first call to-day "was steady but quiet, and there were indications of 'weakness in some lines. Buyers were less keen for bank shares, but insurances and mining held their late values.

Farmers' Auctioneering shares were in request, with buyers for the ordinary £5 shares at £2, for the A £1 preference at 15/9, and for the B's at 14/11. The picked lines in the mining group again attracted attention, and Blackwaters reached a new high level, with a sale at £1 14/0. Waihis were in steady demand at £1 4/9. There was little change in Government stocks, but in the unlisted section Claude Neons, witti a sale at £1 12/6, showed a rise of 6/6, compared with a previous transaction in June. The Noon Call. At the noon call the unlisted section again provided a share of the business. There was another sale of Claude Neons 6d higher, at £1 13/, and a parcel of Timberlands Wood Pulp bonds was placed at £20. Waihis and Grand Junctions both firmed up a little, with sales at £1 4/11 and 4/ respectively. Buyer?, came in for Commercial Bank of Sydney at £17 2/6, for Dalgety's at £9, and for Pukemiro Collieries at £1 2/. SALES COMPLETED. Last Sale.
