The antique display at the monthly meeting was most interesting. Many and varied were the articles shown, some dating from the eighteenth . century. One very valuable .exhibit was two books written in French by Captain Cook'on his discovery of Australia and New Zealand. Mrs. Milligan gave a brief outline of the work done at the conference in. Christchureh. Miss Briar Gardner gave a charming talk on "Pottery Making Through the Agee," and also gave a practical demonstration in. making .pot--tery articles, and displayed eome beautiful finished jars' and.vases, which were very much appreciated by the large gathering. The competition for the best decorated eponge sandwich was won by Mrs. Bebich. A special vote of thanks was passed to Mies Gardner, ako to Mr. and Mrs". Meikle ■ for all their work in makiiig the gathering such a success. The hostesses for the afternoon tea'were Mrs; Bebich, the Misses Floyd, Joan Hill and Ellen Addiron.
