MANUKAU AMATEURS.
Forty-one cyclists participated in the two riiad events held on Saturday at Avondale South by the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club.
Placed juniors were: Krnlc F. Tucker (off 4.0), time 31.47, 1; Chas. T. Dwight (1 30), 30.1, 2; Jim F. Archer (2.45), 81.17, y ; Jack Richardson (2.45), 31.15, 4; Eddie U. Hansen (scr), 20.27, 6. Eddie K. Hansen, scr, was fastest In 20.27, while Chas. T. Dwight was second fastest ill 30:1. A short race of 174 miles, seven laps, was held for the senior members. Successful seniors were: Norbcrt B. Casey (3.15), time fiO.o, 1; Jack W. Clarke (3.15), 00.10, 2; Jack C. Dolores (3.15), 50.11, 8; Cyril J. Crunk (7.15), 54.12, 4; Jim C. Fane" f0.0), 62.38, 0 ; Keith N. Clark (2.1.)), 50 3, 0; Fred It. Markham (2.15), 50.4, 7; "BUI" 11. Walker (0.0), 53.50, 8; Johnnie Brown (scr.), 48.5, 0; Des. 11. Dwight scr.), 48.0, 10. Fastest time was made hy Johnnie Brown (scr) in 45.8. Les. Dwight wiis next fastest and Ernie Andrews, off 1.0, third fastest in 40.10. TAKAPUNA CLUB. The Takapuna Amateur Cycling Club held a 22-mile road race on Saturday lor seniors over the Birkenhead course, and a 111 miles race for juniors ovur the JJlke circuit. The senior race resulted;—B. Evans (3.30), riding time 09.38, 1; B. Oliver (3.30), 00.35J,, 2; ti. Evans (5.30), 71.30 1-5, 3. Fastest time: Shnrpo (scr), C 7.35. The junior race resulted:—R. Jones (scr), 43.52, 1; O. McKee (ser), 32.52J, 2; G. Lawrence, 32.55. 3. Fastest time, K. Jones. AUCKLAND AMATEURS. Saturday's race resulted: —W. Barry, 57.20. 1 ; 'it. Arvidson, 56.00. 2 : R. Rolllnson, 03.5, 3; H. Webster, 57.00, 4. Fastest time : Arvidson, 50.0. PAPATOETOE AMATEURS. The Tapatoetoe Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club held a 30-mile cycle road race on Saturday. Result: E. Moilitt (2.0), 1; It. Beehre (15.0), 2; S. Pinfold (scr.). 3. Fastest time was also gained by Moffltt, who finished in 2h 5m 7s. , LYKNDALE AMATEURS. The Tjynndalo Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club hehl a two-lap road race of 12§ miles over their usual circuit. The finish was a very good ono and resulted: A. Mavies (2.30).'45.47 1; K. Banks (1.30), 45 40 2; W. Cliisholm (5.0), 45.5S 3; R. Campbell (2.30), 45..-.0 4 : K. Hankin (1.15), 40.0 5; A. V. Johnston (1.30), 47.55 0. Hankin registered the fastest time in 37.45, K. Banks being second best with 37.40. LADIES' CLUB. Again a good field of the Indies' Cycling Club faced Hie starter nt Mount Albert un Saturday for the eight-lap race. There was a fairly strong wind down the finishing straight, but around the back it was blowins - directly in I lie riders' faces as they climbed tho hill, making the going very hard. The detailed results were :— Miss Flossie Wood (3.0), 27.22 1 Miss Emily Pile (2.0), 20.52 2 Miss Violet Balrd (scr), 2G.0 3 Fastest time: Miss Baird.
