ARCHBISHOPRIC OF SYDNEY. PEKING, July 23. It was announced at the conclusion of a two days' meeting of the House of Bishops that Dr. Mowll, Bishop in Western China, has accepted the Archbishopric of Sydney, concerning which there lias been considerable delay in reaching finality. Bishop Mowll, who was elected 011 April 7 by a substantial majority by members of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, in succession to tlie late Dr. J. C. Wright, may visit England before taking up his new post.
