EXPORT OF ONIONS.
The Minister of Agriculture announces that [onions can now be exported to the United States under permit and the moderate duty of per lb. Let us rejoice, for New Zealand will now climb out of this depression over the shoulders of the humble onion. Yet I greatly fear that many of those innocent onions that leave our shores will have died from old age and many others liave whiskers on them before they get a clean bill of health through the U.S. Customs.
