HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.

The month's work of the Auckland I-lospital Auxiliary was reported at tlie meeting held on Wednesday and presided over by Mrs. E. A. Ividd. Mrs. T. J. G. Neill reported that the Onehunga branch had been busy at the infirmary, as there arc now an increased number of patients. The month's concert was given by Mr. A. Austin and enjoyed by inmates. The Mount Eden junior branch reported having visited the hospital and done sewing for the winter show. The senior branch reported having visited homes of sick needy people in Mount Eden and given help with clothes and nourishment where necessary. This branch had also visited the hospital and Alexandra Convalescent Home. The city sewing circle reported that it had the honour of a visit from Lady Bledisloe, who was much impressed with the work. The Northcoto Progressive League sent in a number of parcels in response to a demonstration by Mrs. Carr-Smith, and 380 garments had been sent to the depot by the circle for tlje month. Sister Mulcock reported having helped three T.B. cases with extra nourishment and four with clothes from the main depot. Mrs. E. A. Smytlio reported that the Mount Albert Welfare League had helped the several hospital cases in Mount Albert given them by the auxiliary. The depot reported having received miscellaneous donations of 245 garments, and distributed CfiO garments. Seven patients were taken to their homes. Orders for food were given to 13 people and 09 families were helped with clothing. The hospital has given the auxiliary another very large donation of unclaimed clothes in good condition. Thanks are due to the manager and assistant manager for having the garments washed and sent in in good condition. The Lyceum Club also sent another donation of literature, which was very acceptable.
