WEEPING SKIES.
ANOTHER WET SATURDAY. SPORTS FIXTURES UPSET. It was Auckland's experience to have another wet Saturday to-day. Rain set in early and the. barometer showed a steady downward movement throughout the morning. There was a lull at noon, and promise of better conditions. The Auckland Racing Club made an early decision to go on with their meeting at Ellerslie, in connection with which the net profits arc for relief purposes. All Rugby and League football matches and hockey fixtures were postponed. The only Association match proceeded with was the Chatham Cup game at Blandford Park.
