MR. NELSON'S RETURN TO SAMOA.

In the "Star" of June 17, in the report of the retnrn of the Hon. O. F. Nelson to Samoa, it is stated: "A Samoan welcome is being given this afternoon at VaimoßO village to Mr. G. E. L. Westbrook, who has also returned." I beg to inform you that the reception and entertainment given by the natives, after his five years' exile, was to the Hon. O. E. Nelson alone. This was distinctly stated in Samoan on the invitation card I received. I personally have not associated myself with the Samoana m the eame manner as Mr. Nelson, their accredited representative.

G. E. L. WESTBROOK.
