ENGINE DAMAGED.
COLLISION IN YARDS. Damage was caused to the cylinder of a shunting engine when it collided with another shunter at the yards of the Auckland railway station just before noon yesterday. The two locomotives were approaching the same set of points on converging rails, arul the impact forced one of them oil the rails. The nose of the other also tore the asbestos packing from the near cylinder. The derailed locomotive was replaced on the rails shortly afterwards. Xo one was hurt, and traffic Mas not interfered with.
