SNAKE IN CAR.
REMARKABLE MISHAP. r XKW YORK, June 13. ' With one arm "swollen to twice its 1 norma! size, Mrs. George Zimmerman, ■ aged 30, is now under care in a hospital at Lebanon, Indiana, after an amazing ' adventure with a snake. ! Mrs. Zimmerman was driving a motor [ car alone, with her left elbow resting on the window sill. The rear wheel flung a three-foot snake into the car, and the reptile sank its fangs in below her elbow. Remaining calm, Mrs. Zimmerman ' drove the car to the side of the road, removed the writhing snake from her arm, and threw it out of the window. Then she improvised a tourniquet, using ; her handkerchief and fountain-pen, and • j drove to hospital. She is recovering.
