BUILDING SUBSIDY.

I was very much interested to read the' letters on the new building subsidy, especially the one by "Equity," who wants to know what becomes of the unearned increment and who benefits through it. Strange to say, nobody has answered "Equity's" letter, although hi; asked correspondents to answer it. I have always regarded the building subsidy as a blunder from various points of view. It takes money away from middle-aged men and women who can ill afford to spare it from their modest and moderate banking accounts and gives it to the Unemployment Board to finance private enterprise in the open, strenuous labour market. A IIINER.
