KUMEU SHOW SOCIETY.
There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Kumcu Agricultural and Horticultural Society (incorp.), held in the Kumeu Hall, Mr. J. Winchester presiding. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £57. Much of the success of the show was due to the untiring efforts of the secretary. A special vote of thanks was accordcd the ladies' committee for their splendid co-operation. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patrons, Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Messrs. If.. G. K. Mason, M.P., and Hon. W. 11. Triggs; president, Mr. J. A. Winchester; vice-presidents, Messrs. L. Gillespie, It. I'. Kinloch, and H. C. Meikle; secretary. Mr. AY. Ji. Patterson; treasurer, Mr. W. J. Rodger; lion, vet., Mr. U. I'. Kinloch; auditor, Mr. R. D. Xeal; committee, Messrs. W. Nixon, J. Burr, H. Jenkins, T. Poole, J. R. Hill. C. Spin ley, It. Harris, P. Cane, 0. Glogloski. W. K. Garry, A. Lockwood, E. J. Hill. W. Leslie, J. Henderson, I\. AVoolf. H. Brackenridge, J. Irwin, D. Hill, W. L. Sintoii, J). Hills. The ladies' committee was re-elected, with power t'> add.
