PETER DAWSON CONCERTS.

This evening at His Majesty s Theatre the first of the three concerts to be presented by the famous singer, Mr. J eter Dawson, in association with the brilliant young Chilian pianist, Senor TapiaCaballero, will be heard. The concerts liave proved outstanding successes in Wellington and Christchurcli. The programme for the opening concert is 01 sucii •in infinite variety that it should appeal to every section of the community. 1 eter Dawson is probably one of the most Popular singers o'n the concert platform to-day. Mr. Dawson's fame is not confilled to the lighter side of music. He has also "won a high reputation iu grand opera and oratorio. Senor Tapia-Caballero, who will make his first appearance here this evening, is said to be young and enthusiastic, with most artistic poise and Personality, he plays Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Debussy, and is said to be one of the world's best interpreters of Chopin. "Senor Tapia-Caballero lias, Wrote a critic, "some indefinable thing about him that must be called charm, for Want of a better word. It alignments his inassive and facile technique, and makes it worth while." Mr. Hubevt Greenslade is the accompanist. The final two concerts will be presented 011 Saturday and Tuesday next. The plans are at Lewis Eady, 1 td., and day sales tickets may be purenascd at His Majesty's Theatre Kiosk.
