AUCKLAND DEFENCE OFFICER. CAPTAIN DUFF SELECTED. The Government has approved of the selection of Captain C. S. J. Duff, at present adjutant of the Coast . NewZealand Artillery Group, Auckland, to proceed to EnglaM to attend a gunnery staff course, in which he will receive special training in coast defence medium, field, light and anti-aircraft artillery. In making this announcement, the Hon. J G. Cobbe, Minister of Defence, said that Captain Duff would leave New Zealand for England about the middle of next month. He mentioned that not since 1925-26 'had an officer been sent abroad for similar i^axoxaQ.
