SOVIET'S ANXIETY.
FOR TRADE WITH BRITAIN. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 23. Well-informed circles forecast an early meeting between the Foreign Secretary, Sir John Simon, and M. Litvinoff, Russian delegate to the Economic Conference, respecting the embargo on Russian .roods and the imprisoned Vickers engineers. It is stated that the Soviet is anxious to secure a renewal of trade relations with Britain. M. Akulof has been appointed chief State Prosecutor of the entire Soviet Union under the new reorganisation scheme. M. Vishinsky, who was piosecutor in the trial of the Vickers engineers, becomes M. Akulof's chief assistant. Sir John Simon has made an appointment to meet M. Litvinoff at the Foreign Office on Monday. M. Litvinoff, accompanied by his wife, was among the guests to-day at one of the series of small luncheon parties which Mr. Mac Donald and Miss Mac Donald are giving for the World Conference delegates.
