PRESENTATION.

Last evening the employees of the engineers' department of the Auckland City Council farewelled Mr. .T. Wlielan, works foreman. Mr. Jas. Tyler, city engineer, in making a presentation of a wireless set, 011 behalf of the employees, spoke of Mr. Whelan's services whilst in the council's employ, which extended over a period of 31 years. Other speakers included Mr. D. Lawson. the chairman, Mr. William Foley, Mr. T. Pearce and Mr. D. McLaren.
