UNLAWFULLY IN HOUSE.
» ■ .— I METHYLATED SPIRIT ADDICT. \ Joseph Hunter Montgomery, labourer, ' aged 61, appeared in the Tolice Court this morning, when he pleaded guilty to a charge of having been found without ' lawful excuse on enclosed premises at ; 34, Grey Avenue, yesterday. Detective-Sergeant O'Sullivan said I complaints had been received that soine--1 one was frequenting a vacant house, and j a constable went to investigate. He found accused in the house under the ' influence of methylated spirits. With 1 such a man in the house there was a grave danger of lire. Major Holmes, for the Salvation \ Army, said he would take charge of Montgomery, if ho were given a chance. | He had been working well in camps during the last IS months. Montgomery was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months.
