N.S.W. CHAMPIONSHIP. YOUTH BEACHES THE FINAL. SYDNEY, June 22. The semi-finals of the Xew South "Wales amnteur golf championship (36 holes), helfl by Dr. R. 11. Bettington, were played today. Allan Waterson, a youthful player (ho is only 17) defeated Harrison on the 36th green after an intense struggle in which at one stage Harrison was two down with three to play. Hattersley defeated Fawcett three and two. Fawcett made a gallant recovery to reduce his morning deficit of four down, but he could not shake off his younger opponents grip of the match. Waterson and Hattersley will play off on Saturday. ONEWHERO CLUB. Owing to the death of Mr. E. F. Muir, president of the Onewhero Golf Club, the match which was to have been held on the club's course on Saturday has been cancelled. PAPAKURA CLUB. Members of the Papakura Golf Club will piny a four-ball bogey competition tomorrow. Partners will be arranged at the clubhouse. PAPAKURA LADIES' CLUB.
