Poultry. At to-day's auctions the supply of poultry was medium and the demand was keen for prime birds. The prices paid fell slightly in some lines. Selling rates were as foiiow:— 1 Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 4/ to 5/6 each; not prime, 2/0 up; light breeds, prime, 2/9 to 4/; not prime, 2/ up; fat roosters, heavy breeds, prime, 2/ to 2/6; light breeds, 1/0 to 2/; fat hens, heavy breeds, 1/9 to 2/9; light breeds. 1/0 to 2/; pullets, heavy breeds, best, 3/6 to 5/; smaller, 2/ up; light breeds, best, 3/6 to 5/; smaller, 2/ up; drakes, youug, prime, 2/3 to 2/9; smaller, 1/9 up; ducks, young, 2/0 to 3/6; old, 1/6 to 2/6; drakes, old, 1/6 to 2/6. , Eggs and Butter. The market for oggs shows no change upon last Friday's prices, which are still on the low side for this time of the year. Quotations are:— • First grade hen eggs, 1/7% per dozen; B grade, 1/5%; C grade, 1/3%. First grade duck eggs, 1/0%; B grade, 1/4%; C grade, 1/3% per dozen. Farmers' butter, 8d to lOd'per lb.
