MARKET OPENS ACTIVE

BUT SOME LINES EASIER

At the first call of the Auckland Stocl Exchange this morning bidding was quiti free, but in some lines there was an easiei tendency. New Zealand Insurances sold 6d lower at £2 9/6, after which there were seller! at £2 9/8. In tlie same section Nationals "were offered 2d cheaper, at 16/6. In Australian securities Goldsbrough Moris were easier, being on oftcr at hi 5/3. Buyers for Dominion Fertilisers raised their offers to 11/. The mining section was. fairly busy, Alexanders receiving special attention. After a reported sale at 0/9 there was a transaction in the room at .10/0, with more wanted at that money. Government stocks were unchanged. Values Steady at Noon. Values were steady at the noon call, and a "ood list of sales was put through.
