CHILDREN'S FARES.

ALTERATION FROM ID TO 2D.

LICENSING AUTHORITY ACTS. Reserved decisions in respect to a number of passenger omnibus services were given by the No. 2 Licensing Authority this morning. In the case of the services run by the Passenger Transport Company, Ltd., the children's special one penny fares were cancelled, with the exception of the Buckland's Beach service. This fare Mas substituted by a twopenny return fare, to be issued on the inward journey when the children are accompanied by an adult who has purchased a return ticket 011 the inward journey. The services ail'ected are those between Auckland and East Tamaki, Auckland and Papatoetoe, via Onehunga, Auckland and Otahuhu, via Penrose, and Auckland and Otahuhu, via Ellerslie. On the East Tamaki and Auekland-Otaliuhu service, via Penrose, the buses ore not to stop for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers between Penrose Koad and Wall's Road. The original licenses of the HowickAuckland, AucUland-Titirangi (liltcre), Auckland-Titirangi (Laingholm Estate) and the Auckland-Titirangi services were renewed with slight amendments to the time-tables. All the licenses expire on February 28, 1934. Decision in respect of the services conducted by the Auckland and Provincial Motor Bus Company between Auckland and Pukekohe, and by Loughrin and Mclvor, between Tuakau and Auckland, via Bombay and via Pukekohe East, were deferred. In all of these the Railway Department is seeking co-ordination with the railways.
