FEUCHTWANGER AND BARBARISM.

Mr. J. A. Lee's rather unnecessary remark that lie has not read "Josephus" leads me to think that lack of literary endeavour prevented him, also, from reading my letter that pricked him into disastrous rigmarole. Until Mr. Lee quotes something from my attack against Feuchtwanger that led him to imagine it a "justification for Jew-baiting," I propose leaving him to his fond imagining. HUGH McHAIGH.
