AUCKLAND CITY LOAN.

£40,000 AT 4£ PER CENT.

TAMAKI DRIVE PAYMENT,

The Auckland City Council has notified the Stock Exchange that it is issuing at par £40,000 worth of bonds bearing interest at 4J per cent and maturing in 30 years as from February' 1 last. These funds are to be used in payment of the Tamaki Board's old liability in connection with Tamaki Drive. Prior to its absorption by the City Council the- Tamaki Road Board had 'authority to raise £100,000 for its half-share of the cost of construction. The £40,000 now being raised by the Auckland City Council represents the balance of that authority.
