TRAVELLER INJURED.

CAR STRIKES BOUNDARY FENCE. (By Teleeraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, Monday. A motor accident occurred to-day on the Opotiki side of the Kukumoa Hill. Mr. G. A. Ashby, of Gisborne, a traveller for' Peterson and Son, Wellington, was Oriving a touring car towards Opotiki and swung out too wide when passing another car, with the result that his car somersaulted twice and landed upright against a boundary fence. The dickey seat was torn out of the car and was thrown into a paddock. The right side of the car was badly smashed. Mr. Ashby was taken immediately to the Opotiki Public Hospital suffering from severe cuts on the head and concussion.
